You'll get your computer to work exactly as it would if you really had the microprocessor installed.
This is the way to run those programs that only work under this type of processor. The emulator works as if it really had this chip installed and you can access the same functions you would have in the other way: it shows registers, variables, marks, memory...
Emu8086 can create its own system and write its binary code to a floppy disk. It includes connection for certain devices but you can add as many as you need.
